New: Twitch Title and Category Follow the Video on Air

Twitch destinations have a new setting: Title and category. Turn it on and your channel's title and category change every time the playlist moves on to the next video.

Playing Fortnite? The channel sits in the Fortnite category with that video's title. Five seconds after the playlist switches to Minecraft, it moves to Minecraft. The stream never restarts, so viewers stay and the channel stays live the whole time.

It is available on every plan.

How It Works

• One category per video. Pick it once from Twitch's own category list. It stays with the video, in every stream you use it in.

• A title template. Use the video's own title, or build one like 24/7 | {{game}} | {{title}}. Your metadata variables work here too, and titles are kept within Twitch's 140 characters.

• Tags, if you want them. Replace the channel's tags with each video's, or with a default set.

• A Twitch panel. Next to your stream, see what Twitch shows right now, edit it by hand, and see the video on air and up next with the category each one gets.

Click the Twitch icon in the stream's right-hand panel to set it up.

One Thing to Do First

Twitch asks for a separate permission to change a channel's title and category. If you connected your Twitch channel before today, reconnect it once from its channel page and accept the new permission. The dialog tells you when this is needed.
