What's New

YouTube asks creators whether a video contains realistic content made or changed with AI or other tools. Each new broadcast is a new video on YouTube, and until someone answers, YouTube Studio shows the question as blank.

The Altered or synthetic content setting in playout.video is now a Yes or No choice:

  • YouTube panel: choose Yes or No under Settings. It applies to the broadcast you are on now, even while it is live.

  • New broadcasts: every broadcast your destination starts afterwards gives the same answer. With Start a new broadcast every 11 hours on, each new part answers without you opening YouTube Studio.

  • Picking a broadcast: when you point a destination at a broadcast you created, it gets the destination's answer too.

The AI assistant can set the answer for a destination when you ask.

Paid promotion still has to be ticked in YouTube Studio on each broadcast. YouTube only shows viewers its paid promotion notice when it is set there.

Try It

Open your stream, go to the YouTube panel for the destination, and set Altered or synthetic content to Yes or No. YouTube's own help explains what counts.
