Label Altered or Synthetic Content on Every YouTube Broadcast
Turn on YouTube's Altered content label once in playout.video, and every new broadcast of your stream gets it, including each part after an 11-hour switch.
What's New
YouTube asks creators to label realistic content that was made or changed with AI or other tools, for example a real person shown saying something they did not say, or a realistic scene that never happened. In YouTube Studio this is the Altered content setting.
You can now set it from playout.video:
YouTube panel: turn on Altered or synthetic content under Settings. It applies to the broadcast you are on now, even while it is live.
New broadcasts: every broadcast your destination starts afterwards gets the label too. With Start a new broadcast every 11 hours on, each new part is labelled without you opening YouTube Studio.
Creating or editing a broadcast: the broadcast dialog has the same switch.
The AI assistant can turn it on or off for a destination when you ask.
Try It
Open your stream, go to the YouTube panel for the destination, and turn on Altered or synthetic content. Only turn it on if your content needs the label. YouTube's own help explains what counts.
