Recurring Schedules: Daily, Weekly, Monthly
Calendar entries can now repeat: daily, weekly, monthly, with custom intervals. Set your weekly schedule once and it runs forever, or until you tell it to stop.
What's New
Every block on the Calendar can now recur automatically, daily, weekly, or monthly.
Build your weekly schedule once. The blocks repeat themselves, on the days and times you set, forever. Or until a date you specify. Or for a fixed number of occurrences.
What You Can Do
Recurrence Patterns
Each calendar entry has a recurrence picker with four options:
Once: plays a single time, on the date and time you set
Daily: repeats every day (or every N days)
Weekly: repeats every week (or every N weeks)
Monthly: repeats every month (or every N months)
Custom Intervals
Set the interval per recurrence:
Daily, every 2 days, alternates ("on" and "off" days)
Weekly, every 1 week, every week
Weekly, every 2 weeks, every other week
Monthly, every 1 month, once a month
Monthly, every 3 months, quarterly
End Conditions
Each recurring entry can end:
Never: runs forever
After N occurrences: runs a fixed number of times then stops
Until a specific date: runs through a date, then stops
Why It Matters
Most stream programming is repetitive. The 7pm interview, the Sunday service, the daily morning briefing, the Friday-night movie. Repetitive isn't bad, repetition builds audience habit.
What was bad was maintaining repetition by hand. Every week, copying the same blocks to the new week. Every month, rebuilding the schedule.
Recurrence kills that. Build it once. Forget it. The schedule runs itself.
Examples
A few recurrence patterns in the wild:
Daily morning briefing: Daily, every 1 day, 7am–9am, never ends
Weekly interview show: Weekly, every 1 week, Tuesdays 7pm–8pm, never ends
Bi-weekly newsletter recap: Weekly, every 2 weeks, Fridays 5pm–6pm, never ends
Monthly retrospective: Monthly, every 1 month, first Sunday 8pm, never ends
8-week course series: Weekly, every 1 week, after 8 occurrences (the course wraps and stops automatically)
Holiday programming: Daily, every 1 day, until December 26 (the post-holiday content stops itself)
How It Works
Click any block on the Calendar
Choose a Recurrence: Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly
Set the interval if it's not "every 1"
Set the end condition if you don't want it to run forever
Click Save
The block now repeats automatically. You can edit it anytime, changes apply to all future occurrences.
Editing a Recurring Schedule
Click any occurrence of a recurring block. You'll see two save options:
Save this occurrence only: change just this one (e.g., "skip this week")
Save all future occurrences: update the recurring pattern from this point forward
Either way, your stream picks up the change without restarting.
Try It
Open any Scheduled Stream and start dragging blocks onto the calendar. The recurrence picker is in the entry dialog. For a full setup walkthrough, see How to Schedule Your 24/7 Stream With the Calendar.
