Why You're Seeing the Watermark

Streams from a Free workspace carry an animated playout.video watermark on the video output. This is how the Free plan stays free: unbranded output is part of every paid plan.

The watermark is rendered into the stream itself, so it appears on every destination the stream reaches: YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Kick, and anywhere else you multistream.

You will also see the watermark if a previously paid subscription has lapsed (canceled or failed payment). In that case the workspace has dropped back to the Free plan, and fixing the subscription removes it again.

How to Remove It

Upgrading to any paid plan removes the watermark:

  1. Open Settings → Subscription in your workspace (or the in-app upgrade dialog).

  2. Pick a plan: Creator ($19/mo billed annually), Channel ($39/mo), or Business ($119/mo). All three stream without the watermark; they differ in automation and features, not branding.

  3. Complete checkout.

The entitlement applies to your workspace immediately. For a stream that is currently live, the watermark is removed when the output restarts, so restart the stream once after upgrading to get clean output right away.

Which Plan Should You Pick?

If the watermark is the only thing you want gone, Creator is the cheapest path and also lifts the 5-hour session cap, so your channel can run 24/7.

If you also want your channel to follow a calendar (go live on schedule, swap playlists automatically), pick Channel. If you want the stream embedded on your own website, that's Business. The full comparison is in Understanding Plans and Pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I pay a one-time fee to remove the watermark? No. Unbranded output is tied to an active paid subscription.

I upgraded but the watermark is still on my stream. Restart the stream. Output that was already running keeps its original rendering until it restarts. If it persists after a restart, check that the upgrade applied to the same workspace the stream lives in: workspaces are billed separately (see Multiple Workspaces: Separate Brands, Separate Billing).

Does the watermark appear on my recordings or my media library? Your uploaded source files are never modified. The watermark exists only on the live output of Free workspaces.

Will the watermark come back if I cancel? Yes. When a subscription ends, the workspace returns to the Free plan and its output is branded again.
