Overlay Templates: Save Your Branding Once, Apply Everywhere
Save a complete overlay design as a template: logo, lower thirds, frame, Now Playing, the works, and apply it to entire playlists and calendar entries with one click.
What's New
You can now save a complete overlay design, logo, lower thirds, frame, Now Playing, every element of the Composition Editor, as a reusable Overlay Template.
Apply a template to a playlist and every video in the playlist plays with that overlay. Apply it to a calendar entry and that entry plays with that overlay. Build it once. Use it everywhere.
Why It Matters
Every show, every block, every playlist on a stream has its own visual identity. Until now, building that identity meant rebuilding overlays for each context, a logo here, a lower-third there, a frame on this calendar entry but not that one.
Overlay Templates make branding modular. Build a "Show A" template once. Apply it to Show A's playlist. Build a "Show B" template. Apply it to Show B's playlist. Switch between them with a click.
This unlocks:
Recurring shows with consistent branding without manual overlay setup each week
Multi-show channels where each show has its own look but they all live in one stream
Sponsor segments with branded sponsor overlays applied per segment
Themed nights on movie channels with a different look per genre night
Sermon archives where each speaker series gets its own visual identity
What You Can Do
Save Any Composition as a Template
Build an overlay design in the Composition Editor, logo, text, Now Playing, audio visualizer, image graphics, the whole thing. Click Save as Template and give it a name.
Apply to a Playlist
Open any playlist and pick an Overlay Template. Every video in the playlist now plays with that overlay automatically.
Apply to a Calendar Entry
When creating or editing a Calendar block, pick an Overlay Template. The block plays with that overlay during its scheduled window.
Mix and Match
Different playlists with different templates. Different calendar blocks with different templates. The stream switches overlays automatically as content rotates.
Update a Template, Update Everything
Edit a template and every playlist or block using it picks up the change. Update your show's logo once and it propagates everywhere.
How to Build One
Open any Composition in the Composition Editor
Add your logo, lower thirds, Now Playing, and any other elements
Click Save as Template, give it a name
The template appears in the templates picker on playlists and calendar entries

Examples in the Wild
A weekly podcast network with five shows each running on its own day:
Monday Show template, show logo, host lower-third, blue color theme
Tuesday Show template, different logo, different host, green theme
...etc.
Each show's playlist points to its template. The Calendar plays the right show on the right day with the right overlay, automatically.
A church with multiple service streams:
Sunday Morning template, pastor's name, scripture overlay, church logo
Wednesday Bible Study template, moderator name, study topic, simpler graphics
24/7 Worship Channel template, minimal Now Playing only
Different overlays, same stream, no manual switching.
A movie channel with themed nights:
Horror Night template, dark, red accents, vintage frame
Sci-Fi Night template, futuristic frame, neon accents
Sunday Classics template, letterboxed, minimal, classic typography
Each night automatically wears its theme.
Try It
Open any Composition and click Save as Template. Then assign it to a playlist or calendar entry.
